  • Our Cafe is open from 10.00am - 4.00pm every day.

  • No, unfortunately with the abundance of wildlife on the property we do not allow pets or animals to stay in our cabins.

  • There is a range of wild animals that frequently visit the park including kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, goannas, birds and more.

    For up close encounter - head over the road and visit the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park & Raptor Domain.

  • Kangaroo Island is home to two highly venomous snakes - tiger snakes and pygmy copperheads. These snakes are regularly seen in the area and must not be approached.

    BOTH snakes are dangerous and require immediate first aid and medical attention if bitten.

  • The closest attractions to us is the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park and Raptor Domain just over the road at 3115 South Coast Road, Seal Bay.

    Not far away are other attractions such as Seal Bay and beaches such as Vivonne Bay.

  • Our cabins are taking bookings from October 1st 2026. Contact us if you’re coming around that date and need an extra day beforehand.

  • You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email. We aim to respond quickly, usually within one business day.

  • Kangaroo Island can have areas of limited service reception. Our cabin area has some service but there is currently no Wifi available. Telstra is the most reliable provider for Kangaroo Island.

  • Check in is from 3pm and check-out is by 10am. You can collect your key from the Welcome Stranger Cafe & Bar. Please contact us for out of hours collection.

  • Our cabins have the utilities for you to self-cater, however we do not provide food beyond basic tea, coffee and milk supplies. If you wish to have food in your cabin on arrival, contact us to discuss the options we can provide. The Welcome Stranger Cafe & Bar is open 10am - 4pm for brunch, lunch and afternoon tea.
